bird migration

 

This is a large 70” touch display in the Bird Habitat Hall that shows the migration of several species of birds through California, and in particular Santa Barbara.  The museum has access to a tremendous dataset of bird migrations for over 30 years and they looked to us to help visualize their data, as well as develop the physical and digital interface that allows guests to select species, scroll through migration time-lines (current to the month), and even locate favorite bird watching spots.
